Today, the Giving USA Foundation and The Giving Institute released the Giving USA 2021 report. Published for more than 65 years, Giving USA is the longest-running and most comprehensive report of its kind for annual giving. The data aggregated in the report identifies trends and opportunities across the nonprofit sector. This year’s report estimates total giving in America grew nearly $22B to $471.4 billion. The report shows that giving grew across most sources and subsectors.
Social good organizations can use specific insights from Giving USA to identify unseen opportunities and create a strategy for the upcoming year. The report findings can help leaders and staff determine how and where to allocate resources in order to have the greatest reach and bring in the greatest amount of contributions.
Blackbaud is a proud member of The Giving Institute and a donor to the Giving USA project. To help organizations turn Giving USA data into action, the Blackbaud Institute is launching a webinar series in July, which will dive deep into the results for the higher education, K-12 education, faith, and arts and culture subsectors. Hosts will provide analysis into what these numbers mean now and for the future.
